CPP to Appear at Top of Senate Ballot in February

PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) will get top billing on the Senate election ballot in February. On December 28, Buddhist monks drew the names of the four parties to be included on the ballot, with the CPP being drawn first, followed by the Khmer Will Party, FUNCINPEC and the National Power Party.

The fifth Senate election will be held on February 25, 2024, when government officials will vote on Senate members. Currently, the CPP holds all Senate seats and former Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced plans to take over as Senate President.
